아직 한참 공사중이던 도라산 CIQ 입구에 새겨진 흔적들
철조망은 언제나 가슴을 아리게 하고,
남과 북을 연결하는 도로가 완성되던 날 그 도로를 만들던 사람들의 염원이 새겨져 있는 곳을 지난다.
지금도 저 흔적이 남아있을까?




남측의 강아지와는 무척이나 다른 스타일의 강아지. 나를 무척 싫어했었지.
발에 발가락이 6개. 
태어난지 1달인가 2달만에 속이 좋지 않아 죽을뻔 하다가 살아났다고 하는 북측 경비의 말.
그래서인지 표정에 무언가 달관한 모습을 많이 보이는 듯.

생후 3~4개월 된 녀석치곤 왠지 그 모습이 의젓하다. 
확실히 의젓하기보담 무언가를 달관한 모습이랄까.....





● 2005년 11월의 어느 날

개성공업지구에서, 북측 땅에서 맞이하는 아침 해는 그 느낌이 묘하다.
아침 식사 후 북쪽을 돌아보니 송악산이 병풍처렴 걸려있다.
경기5악이란 말이 괜히 나온 것이 아닌 듯.
저 너머에 개성시가 있겠지.


p.s 작금의 개성공업지구(개성공단)에 대한 현실이 너무나 복잡하다.
2005~2006년에도 요즘같은 위기가 없었는줄 아는가?
그런데 어찌하여 이리도 대처하는게 틀린가...
거기서 일하시는 그 부장님과 그 전무님, 그리고 예전에 같이 일했던 동료들이 불안할 뿐이다.
